One mile. Straight down Congress Avenue. Start at the Texas Capitol, finish at Lady Bird Lake.

Course Details
Start — Capitol South Drive
The start line is positioned on the right side of Capitol Drive, just south of the Texas Capitol grounds. Runners stage in the designated area on Capitol Grounds before each heat. Southbound lanes of Congress Avenue form the race course from this point.
Course — Congress Avenue Southbound
The entire course runs in the southbound lanes of Congress Avenue, passing through the heart of downtown Austin. Cross streets from W 11th St to W Cesar Chavez St are intersected along the route. Barricade fencing lines both sides of the course for the full mile.
Finish — Congress Avenue Bridge
The finish line is at the south end of the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge, with Lady Bird Lake visible beyond. After crossing, runners proceed through the recovery lane to the tent area south of the bridge on Riverside Drive.
Spectator Areas
Spectators are welcome on the bridge sidewalks on both the east and west sides. The tent area south of the finish provides additional gathering space. Congress Avenue sidewalks along the course offer excellent viewing throughout the race.
